At the heart of Soroptimist International lies the Programme of Service, where Soroptimists around the world come together to advance the status of women and girls. Through awareness, advocacy and action, we address critical global issues, aligning our efforts with international goals like the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and local needs.
PROGRAMME OF SERVICE
Members of Soroptimist International of Aotearoa New Zealand (SIANZ) undertake project work at the Club, Region, Federation and International level. All projects are underpinned by our Mission and Vision, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and our eight objectives.
All club activities are reported on a Federation database - to be used by our Soroptimist representatives at the UN.

Soroptimist International is a women's service organisation which provides exciting opportunities to be of service to others and take part in projects through
AWARENESS, ADVOCACY & ACTION.
Through project work, Soroptimists work at the local, national and international level on projects which work towards the eight objectives of:

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
The work achieved through these objectives provide opportunities to
EDUCATE, EMPOWER & ENABLE
women and girls.
Soroptimist Clubs work with other Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) and has representation at the International Women's Caucus (facilitated by the Ministry for Women), at meetings of UN agencies committees and commissions and or at major forums on specific issues. This provides members opportunities for awareness of global issues and ongoing involvement in attempts to address them.
Soroptimist International joins with women worldwide to ensure the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women through the implementation of the Platform for Action and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
